ABOUT THE ROLE Notion’s Connections team makes the workspace useful with every tool people already rely on. We’re hiring a Product Manager to turn a growing set of integrations—AI connectors, MCP servers, database syncs, link previews, mail, calendar, and developer connections—into one coherent, trustworthy product. You’ll own how people discover, connect, configure, and manage external tools, partnering closely with design, engineering, AI, developer platform, and enterprise teams. The opportunity is to make Notion the front door to a company’s knowledge and workflows without sacrificing clarity, permissions, or control. This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days. WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE: - Make Connections feel like one product: create a clear model for discovering, installing, configuring, and managing every connection type across personal and workspace contexts. - Develop a deep understanding of user and admin needs, align partners around a focused roadmap, and improve the highest-impact parts of the Connections experience. - Expand the ecosystem while raising its quality bar, helping Notion scale from dozens to hundreds of useful connections with clear standards for trust, reliability, discovery, and support. - Define how connections power Notion’s AI and agent products, including MCP access, reusable credentials, service-level authorization, and permission-aware access to external context and actions. - Establish durable product principles and success measures that improve activation, reliability, governance, and customer value across the Connections portfolio. SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING: - Demonstrated ability to simplify a technically complex platform or ecosystem into an intuitive product for both end users and administrators. - Strong product judgment across authentication, permissions, APIs, integrations, data sync, or developer platforms—and the ability to make sound tradeoffs among usability, security, scalability, and speed. - A track record of moving ambiguous, cross-team work from problem definition to shipped outcomes while creating clear ownership and alignment. - Customer depth: you can learn directly from individual users, developers, IT admins, and enterprise buyers, then translate their different needs into a coherent strategy rather than a collection of one-off requests. - Practical AI fluency: you use AI to sharpen research, product thinking, decisions, and execution, and you’re excited to rethink how people and agents connect to tools and data. NICE TO HAVES: - Experience building developer platforms, APIs, integrations, data-sync products, or connected-app ecosystems. - Experience designing products that serve both individual users and enterprise administrators. - Familiarity with authentication, authorization, credential management, and permission-aware access to external systems. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $238,000 - $250,000 per year.
